Terms and Conditions of Lichen & Lights Events Styling
1. Definitions
1.1 "The Customer" means organisation or person who purchases goods and services from the company.
1.2 "The Company" means Lichen and Lights Event Styling
1.3 The "Goods" are any items supplied by contract between the customer and Lichen & Lights Event Styling, regardless of ownership.
1.4 The "Contract" is any written or verbal agreement between Lichen and Lights Event Styling and the customer.
2. General
2.1 These terms and conditions shall apply to all contracts for the supply of goods or services by the company to the customer.
2.2 All goods remain the property of the company.
2.2.1 with the exception of fresh florals
2.3 The company reserve the right to substitute any items as a result of circumstances beyond its control. If an item the customer have booked is damaged or lost prior to hire every effort will be made to replace the item like for like. If this is not possible or if this is unsatisfactory, the customer will be entitled to a refund for that item only. No further compensation will be due.
2.4 All goods, once signed for become the responsibility of the customer.
2.5 Goods shall be delivered in good working order. Unless notice is received to the contrary as soon as reasonably possible and in any event no later than 24 hours after delivery, goods shall be deemed to be in good working order.
2.6 No substitute items shall be accepted by the company.
2.7 The company offer one introductory call free of charge. Once the customer have accepted proposal after call, 1 more meeting and up to two additional venue visits will be included in the fee – depending on the package chooses. Additional requested meetings and venue visits would incur a charge of £50 per appointment. If for any reason, you failure attend the first consultation call without due notice, (less than 24 hours prior to the appointment time) a charge of £50.00 will be incurred for the rescheduled consultation.
3 Delivery, Setup and Collection
3.1 Delivery, Setup and collections will be charged as agreed at the time of order.
3.2 Delivery and collections made outside normal working hours shall be subject to additional charges. Do we want this given most of the work will be out of working hours?
3.3 Unless a suitable lift is available deliveries and collections shall only be made to the ground floor level that has reasonable access (at the driver's discretion).
3.4 What do we want to say about setup? Something about agreeing the main aspects of set up but we are able to use creative designs when setting up.
3.5 If the company is unable to collect any of the goods at the agreed time a £25 fee will be charged to rearrange a new collection time for that day along with any additional travel expenses encored.
3.6 Unless agreed in advance, all goods are for indoor use only; any items used outside are done so entirely at the customers risk.
3.7 The number of hours set up requires depends entirely on the nature of the décor and the number of guests. The exact time required will be confirmed during the final consultation. If the time constraints given for setting up are extremely limited, depending on décor requirements, additional staff may need to be brought in to ensure a timely turnaround. This will incur an additional charge.
3.8 Where an installation and set up service has been requested, it is the customers responsibility to ensure that the venue is ready at the times stated. Failure to comply can result in further charges or abandonment.
3.9 It is expected that the customer will provide details (name and telephone number) for a point of contact for the duration of the set up/clear up. This is in the event of difficulties with access at the venue or set up on the day. The nominated individual needs to available and ideally should not be a part of the bridal party.
3.10 We will not take responsibility for the setup of favours and stationery that we have not provided unless otherwise agreed.
3.11 Guests are to be instructed not to enter any rooms being decorated before the agreed time. It is the customers responsibility to ensure there is a representative at the venue to communicate this to guests and usher them to an appropriate location.
4. Floristry Services
4.1 The floral quotation will remain an estimate until 6 week before the event, whereby it will be confirmed. This is due to the fluctuation within the floral market.
4.2 The company do not guarantee specific stem types. They will work with the wish lists and if available will includespecified flowers/foliages. However, if they are unavailable or of poor quality, a suitable alternatives which match closest to requirements. All fresh flowers are subject to availability and undergo stringent quality checks.
4.3 Once delivered the fresh florals are the property of the customer.
4.4 Vases, specialist equipment or silk flowers remain the property of The company, and will be collected at the agreed time. charges may apply to damaged or missing items.
5 Price & Payment
5.1 A quote shall be submitted by the company to the customer either in writing or verbally.
5.2 Quotes are valid for 7 days. Price changes will not affect quotations within the 7-day period. However, after 7 days, if the deposit payment has not been made, prices will be amended if required due to material and produce costs increasing
5.3 Acceptance of this quote either verbally or in writing becomes subject to a cancellation fee of 20% of the total value of the goods ordered or 100% of the total value of the goods if cancelled less than 7 days prior to the delivery date.
5.4 Payment in part or in full of any quote to supply goods and or services herein referred to shall be deemed as acceptance of these Term & Conditions.
5.5 All prices are based on 1-3 days hire. Longer periods shall be extra as indicated at the time of order.
5.6 When placing an order a 20% non refundable deposit will be taken to reserve the goods and dates, with the balance to be paid in cleared funds 7 days before delivery latest, unless otherwise arranged.
5.7 We accept payment by electronic payment directly to our bank account, unless otherwise arranged.
5.8 Payment is only accepted from the person placing the order and not from a third party.
5.9 A £150 additional fee applies to the total value of all bookings on Bank Holiday Mondays, other public Holidays, popular days such as New Years Eve, as well as late bookings (bookings made in under a month prior to the event).
5.10 If the customers venue charges vendors and suppliers a fee, please note that we will passed on to the customer.
6 Your responsibilities
6.1 Customers shall make all reasonable efforts to ensure the goods are not damaged or misused during the hire period.
6.2 The customer shall not attempt to sell or otherwise dispose of the goods.
6.3 The customer shall pay the company for any repair or replacement of goods that are lost, stolen or damaged beyond reasonable repair.
7 Our responsibilities
7.1 The company will supply all furniture, equipment and accessories to ensure the agreed set up is achieved.
7.2 The company will deploy sufficient manpower to ensure the agreed set up is achieved.
7.3 The company will communicate with the customer and the venue to ensure the the agrees set up is achieved.
7.4 The company can provide the ceremony décor and transfer items from here to the reception to save on cost. This however can only be done in the instance that the ceremony and reception are being held at the same venue. If your ceremony will take place at a separate location from your reception, we cannot provide décor for both, on the same day. A charge for this service will be agreed in advance.
8 Equipment Safety
8.1 Electrical items will be PAT tested and all items are checked before and after hire and undergo regular maintenance. The company do everything to ensure the safety and safe handling of the items.
8.2 The company are not responsible for any injury or damage to animals, property, persons, or objects arising from the use of any equipment under hire. The company will not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss, damage or additional costs that may arise as a result of the use of my hire items.
9 Travel Fees
9.1 For services provided within a 15mile radius of SP1 (Sailsbury) travel fees are included in the hire cost. For events outside this area, there is an additional travel fee of 50p per mile for delivery and collect journey.
9.2 For services provided outside a 50mile radius of SP1 (Sailsbury) accommodation charges may apply. This will be agreed at the time of quote.
10 Liability & Indemnity
10.1 To the fullest extent, the company shall not be liable for any losses the customer may incur arising out of or in connection with the hire of goods.
10.2 The customer agrees to indemnify the company at all times in respect of claims by any person in relation to any injury, loss, and claim or expense arising out of or in connection with the use of the goods.
11 Termination and cancellation of Hire
11.1 Should you have to cancel your booking the following charges will apply:
Within 8 weeks of the event – 50% of total cost
Within 6 weeks of the event – 100% of the total cost
11.2 Your 20% deposit is non-refundable
11.3 The company reserves the right to terminate the contract immediately and repossess the goods at any time where the customer is in breach of these Terms & Conditions.
11.4 The customer authorise the company to enter any property where the goods are being used in order to repossess such goods.
11.5 In the event of extreme weather or road conditions which result in being unable to safely deliver or collect the hire goods, the company reserve the right to alter the arrangements for delivery or collection and shall not be liable to for any losses or costs to you that may arise as a result.
11.6 The company reserve the right to cancel in extreme circumstances that make hire unviable, up to and including the day of your hire. The company are the ruling party on deciding if the hire is unviable and will not be liable for any compensation or additional costs you may incur as a result of cancellation, however a full refund will be issued.
12 Copyright
12.1 All images, photography and wording on the compnaies website, Facebook page and other social media are copyrighted to them unless expressly confirmed otherwise.
13 Notes
13.1 Please note these terms and conditions do not affect the customer's statutory rights as a consumer.
13.2 Please note that all goods will be delivered in good working order, however due the natural and antique nature of some of the equipment there maybe light wearing to the goods
